Re-elect Wayne H thomas  Hampstead Town Council

Wayne Thomas served as the Chair of the Hampstead Tree Commission for seven years.  The Commission is made up of residents and volunteers appointed by the Mayor to oversee the management of the trees in Hampstead.  The Committee makes decisions about street tree removal and tree plantings done throughout the Town.  Having an active Tree Commission allows the Town to be designated as a Tree City by the Arbor Day Foundation.

Under Wayne’s leadership the Commission has planted trees with the help of local Cub Scouts, and volunteers at the tree bank on Lowerbeckleysville Road, at the new Hampstead Park, at Chief Sites Park, at Hampstead Valley Garden Condominiums, and on Willow Street as a joint planting with the Westwood Park Homeowners Association.  Most recently the Tree Commission replaced three cherry trees in Hampstead’s Panther Park.
